Barry Synnott has enjoyed a stellar reputation for his knowledge, follow through and results over 30 years specializing in Commercial and Investment properties in Metro New York and Westchester. His diverse track record has encompassed multifamily, office, retail, land, site selection and investment sales, and led to top awards for outstanding production. Most recently, he was ranked the #1 Commercial Agent in NRT’s offices in Westchester.

Barry has orchestrated and negotiated a multitude of large complex deals with success. He has been particularly effective working with clients to find locations for healthcare facilities, assisted living facilities and apartment complexes.
When asked what he thought was important to closing deals he says “ I try to remember that the other side are also hoping to make a profit ”

His extensive portfolio of transactions has also included: selling a former school building for the Valhalla School District in Valhalla, NY and securing a buyer for a mixed use building in Pleasantville that had been foreclosed by Hudson City Bank; finding 15 locations for Dialysis Centers throughout the NY metro area; a 498-unit apartment complex in Connecticut for $22 million; a 45,000-square-foot office building in Westchester for $4.9 million; 160 acres for a 100-unit single-family home development in E. Lyme, CT for $4.2 million; one-acre industrial land in the Bronx, NY for $1.25 million; two acres for retail development in Westchester, NY for $2 million; a small multi-family property in Westchester for $2.4 million; a retail center in the Bronx for $2.2 million; retail building in New Rochelle $1.7 million. Larchmont Theatre $1.1million; City Island marina $5 million.

Originally from Ireland, Barry has lived in New York for many years. He began his career in the airline and charter business, and gained extensive experience as a personal investor in real estate. He has been with Coldwell Banker Commercial, NRT. for the past 20 years.


He is a former seven-time New York marathon runner with a best time of 2.57
