Josh Scales is a North Carolina native who was born and raised near Winston-Salem and subsequently attended Western Carolina University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Finance. After college, he moved to Charlotte and began his professional career in the wealth management industry. During a 10-year career in wealth management, he was promoted across several lines of business including brokerage, trading, and relationship management. Josh excelled in relationship management and was ultimately awarded the opportunity to advise high net worth clients with a $1.5 billion book of business. In 2015, he transitioned his career to work for a national broker/dealer as a licensed principal providing oversight of more than $100 million in annual sales of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and other non-correlated alternative investments. This experience proved to be a catalyst for him to get licensed and enter the commercial real estate industry, which had been a life-long career goal. After obtaining his NC real estate broker license, he joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty to advise clients with the buying and selling of multi-family, hospitality, land, industrial, retail, and office properties across North Carolina with a primary focus being Multifamily and Development Land. Outside of work Josh enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and twin daughters. Community involvement is also very important to his family as they volunteer at and support several non-profits in the Charlotte area including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Go Jen Go.
