Robert Bierma

ABOUT

Robert grew up on his family's farm ~20 miles to the NE of Salem. He went to one of the few remaining rural schools, 91 School, and graduated from Canby High School. After a couple years of living in Corvallis he moved to Portland where he developed a passion for urban design and the built environment.

In 2016 he moved to Medford, OR with his wife when she accepted a job offer. While in Medford he was involved with several civic boards and commissions, something he will seek to continue in Salem. He also graduated with a degree in Economics from Oregon State University in 2020.

In 2021 Robert and his wife moved back to Salem with the intention of setting down roots and actively participating in enhancing the quality of life in Salem and the Willamette Valley. Robert and his wife are expecting their first child in October of 2021.

Through both his experiences and study he has developed a broad set of knowledge across the many fields involved in real estate and will seek to use this knowledge to provide a holistic approach to evaluating real estate.

He has in particular spent time looking into the challenges and opportunities related to infill development and is optimistic about the potential for Missing Middle Housing zoning reforms to provide new infill housing opportunities. He seeks to be a significant facilitator of these opportunities and promote high quality infill housing

Robert focuses on listening to his clients and understanding what their core motivations and objectives are with any real estate transaction. By doing so he can more precisely match real estate outcomes to those motivations and objectives.

He takes a collaborative approach that seeks to actively foster a broad based community of individuals, involved in real estate, focused on enhancing the quality of the built environment in Salem and the broader Willamette Valley.
