Josh Markiewicz

Josh Markiewicz is a seasoned advisor specializing in guiding local, national, and international companies, as well as property owners, in the development and execution of their long-term strategic real estate plans. Leveraging market intelligence, extensive experience, and strong relationships, he consistently delivers unparalleled and effective results for his clients.
With a diverse client portfolio, Josh has provided trusted advice to prominent companies such as NVIDIA, AbbVie, Riverbed, Strata Decision Technology, the University of Illinois, Synchrony Financial, OSF Healthcare, and Jimmy John’s.
In addition to his broader role, Josh leads the Student Housing Group and Greek Housing Group at Coldwell Banker Commercial Devonshire Realty. He has successfully carved out a niche serving the distinctive real estate needs of fraternities, sororities, and student housing developers and investors on the University of Illinois campus.
Before his career in commercial real estate, Josh served honorably as a Green Beret in the U.S. Army Special Forces, with deployments to Afghanistan and an undisclosed location in Southern Asia in support of Operating Enduring Freedom. His unique skill set, leadership abilities, and innovative thinking bring efficiency and structure to the commercial real estate domain.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Josh is the Co-Founder of CAMP​MACKALL​, an organization connecting post-9/11 military Veterans at the University of Illinois with local business and community leaders through mentorships, internships, and career opportunities.
Josh graduated magna cum laude from the Lubar School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a bachelor’s degree in finance and a certificate in real estate. Currently residing in Savoy with his wife, son, and Australian Cattle Dog, Josh is an adventure seeker who enjoys travel, hiking, tennis, and quality time with his family.
