Jon Treter is Managing Principal and National Market Leader, of the Coldwell Banker Commercial’s Denver office. The office was launched by Mr. Treter and his business partner of 22 years, Ben Gilliam, in September 2017. Throughout his career, Jon has negotiated nearly 500 real estate transactions totaling in excess of 8 million square feet in tenant representation, leasing, and investment sales. He leverages his in-depth local market insight and multi-disciplined experience in the successful execution of Tenant and Landlord representation assignments, corporate services, investments and multi-market requirements. Prior to the launch of Coldwell Banker Commercial in Denver, Jon served as Senior Director with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank since 2006. Both Jon and Ben exceeded $174 million in sales and leasing transaction volume during their time there. His negotiating and transaction management skills have benefited a myriad of local, national and global clientele ranging from non-profit organizations to Fortune 500 companies. Tenant representation assignments have included transactions ranging from 1,000 square feet to multi-floor tenancies and 100,000 square foot single tenant headquarter facilities. Jon works cooperatively with clients in defining business drivers of each individual company’s commercial real estate needs, then structures a strategic plan to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions that align with their goals. Jon brings extensive experience to Landlords, Tenants, Buyers and Sellers alike through unique perspective of how each party evaluates a transaction. With in-depth analytics and market proven tactics, his clients benefit from superb transactional service and results. An active industry and community leader, Jon has been a contributing supporter and corporate development committee member of the Denver Scholarship Foundation since 2008, helping to raise more than $13 million in scholarship funding for Denver Public Schools students. Furthermore, Jon has sat on the Sabin Board of the Mental Health Center of Denver (MHCD), overseeing the entirety of MHCD’s real estate portfolio. He is also a member of the Denver Metropolitan Commercial Association of Realtors, and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Jon currently serves as a member of CBC’s Leadership Series. In 2014, Jon was nominated to the Denver Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40.” He is also the current President of the Cherry Cheek High School Football teams Booster Club, leading a signification P&L and over 450 members.
