Landmark Avalon Theatre in Hollywood Sells for $15.75M
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 24, 2025) – Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Solutions is proud to announce the $15.75 million sale of Hollywood’s Avalon Theatre, which has been home to stage shows, television shows and music for close to a century.
This is the first time that the Avalon Theatre has changed hands in 50 years. Originally built in 1927, the Avalon Theatre is designed in the Spanish-Baroque style. The theater has hosted variety television shows hosted by Bob Hope and Merv Griffin, as well as musicians such as Madona, the Rolling Stones and Olivia Newton-John.
Jason Lamoreaux, president of Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Solutions, represented both the seller, Ligny LLC, and the buyer, Insomniac Entertainment. “The Avalon is a landmark Hollywood theater and the buyer, Insomniac Entertainment, intends to continue that legacy,” said Lamoreaux.
The Avalon Theatre is located at 1735 Vine St. in Hollywood. The two-story, 33,400 square-foot theater occupies a .42-acre property.
