Professional's Bio

Jim West graduated from Willamette University in 1976 with a degree in economics which has served him in good stead through the variations of our modern economy. After working his way through school as a server and manger in the restaurant industry he spent five years in the early eighties as a principal partner with City Financial Group in Vancouver as a Financial Planner working with small businesses and families. Returning to the hospitality industry, he spent ten years working for regional or nation chain restaurants gaining a strong corporate background in finance & operations, and expansion projects. This was followed by ten years consulting and serving local investors providing everything from budget development, to construction supervision, to staff hiring and training. This background and focus lead to establishing his firm Clark-West Commercial. He joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Jenkins & Associates in 2008, specializes in working with Entrepreneurs and small business owners in solving their space needs and providing educational resource for them on the emerging trend of business condominium ownership. Thus allowing them to harness a powerful financial tool that generates tremendous wealth, this often in past years was very limited for this group. As we move further into the 21st century, Jim sees Seven Reasons Why Commercial Real Estate ownership should be a consideration for all Entrepreneurs and small business owners, as well as any investor seeking a more stable platform for their investment dollars. Jim has a long track record of civic involvement including Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, the Clark County YMCA, Rotary, Clark College Hospitality program and the Visitor & Convention Bureau.
