Jim began his real estate career with Cushman and Wakefield in Arizona in 1980 with the de v elopment of a neighborhood shopping center with Don Callender Development of Marie Callender's Restaurants. He was recruited b y Merrill Lynch Commercial Real Estate to open up their new office in Phoenix and de v eloped the first Tenant/Bu y er Representa ti v e system for the company . One major project was successfully opening a group of stores for T he Carnation Company in record time . In addition, his work with Salt River Project (SRP), the utility power company for Central Arizona, allowed him to specialize in multi-task work on their behalf . He was in charge of the required acquisition of a 20-acre commercial property from the U-Haul family that was in the middle of SRP's major redevelopment area. He was also recognized in the Wall Street Journal for his part in SRP's consolidation of emplo y ee needs into a 100,000 square foot office building. Working with developers like Opus, J . C. Nichols, Travelers, City of St. Petersburg (FL), and REITs, Jim Batlle has successfully handled all aspects of real estate including residential, retail, industrial, office, land, and investments. In 2005, Jim earned the coveted Chairman's Club award from RE/MAX Corporate and was ranked 26th of all commercial real estate brokers within RE/MAX worldwide. For 2006, Jim was rewarded with Platinum Club status from RE/MAX Real Estate Services and was the top Commercial agent for the Southern California company. In addition, RE/MAX Corporate inducted Jim into their prestigious Hall Of Fame for his production performance within just three y ears. In 2007, he was again awarded top Commercial agent by his company. He also earned and received the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. He was then assigned the task in acquiring land for a new office building for the top selling Coldwell Banker residential team in the United States. Successfully closing on the site, Jim was asked to join Coldwell Banker Commercial (CBC) and bring on board his clients and expertise . The President of Coldwell Banker NRT, honored Jim as the 2009 Number One Commercial Agent for Orange County and the Desert Region and again in 2010. CBC then designated Jim as a Regional Advisor for his area, promoted him to Senior Associate and again in 2012 and 2014 was Number One Agent for CBC NRT in his region. In 2015 he achie v ed the Diamond Society Award for his production and then in 2016, Jim catapulted in production to the coveted President's Premier Award. This hard work also earned Jim the title of number one producer for Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT for the United States. In 2017, Jim earned the President's Elite Award and next, The Wall Street Journal Real Trends Top Agents of 2018 named Jim to the top 250 real estate agents in all of the United States at number 137. Jim's group also has worldwide capabilities with Jim and his team is able to fl y in, anal y ze, negotiate and close deals in those difficult areas where owners or companies want one accurate source of information to maximize their real estate decisions.
