David Ellis

David Ellis began his career in 1999 as a Financial Analyst with IBM in New York and Chicago, managing several multi-million-dollar accounts. He returned to New Orleans in 2003, where he joined the family insurance business in sales. Targeting industry business professionals across MS and LA, David sold hundreds of policies, ranging from employee benefits to commercial and personal lines. David currently owns the Ellis Insurance Solutions agency in Mandeville, LA.
David’s remarkable passion to help people improve their lives naturally transferred to real estate after successfully purchasing over $1 million of rental property investment assets by 2020. He subsequently joined Coldwell Banker Commercial TEC in 2021, where he provides his expertise to help clients with Multifamily, Retail, Land, and other opportunities.

David has an extensive history of community service having been elected as a 2-term City Councilman in Mandeville, LA. He is involved with his kids’ PTA and his son’s Boy Scout Troop. He is also a member of the New Orleans Regional Institute, Leadership St. Tammany, and is an Eagle Scout. David received an MBA from LSU and his bachelor’s degree from Baylor. David Ellis is known as a family man, married, and involved with his 2 kids, ages 15 and 12.
