Leo Liakatas

Leo Liakatas is the Arizona Director for Coldwell Banker Commercial. Liakatas is focused on strategically placing industry leaders in targeted Arizona commercial growth markets and mentoring tomorrow's commercial real estate experts throughout the Grand Canyon state. Leo Liakatas began his Commercial Real Estate career in the late 1990’s unintentionally. His family having owned shopping centers and restaurants for most of his life, he was practically raised within the industry and experienced how critical proper representation, management and short term & long term investment strategies were to the success of property owners and investors. In his late 20’s Liakatas’s family needed guidance regarding their commercial property portfolio. Not confident they were getting the information or support they needed in order to make the best investment decision, Leo stepped in to assist. His thorough investigation, analysis and communication skills in that transaction would lead to what would become his family’s most successful real estate move ever, and the beginning of his now over 24+year commercial real estate career.
With a desire to be as well versed in the entire Commercial Real Estate landscape, he refused to be limited to brokerage in one aspect of the industry. That decision allowed him to successfully represent his clients in hundreds of transactions in office, retail, medical, industrial and land development across the nation. His diverse industry experience and fluency made him an invaluable mentor and over the decade, Liakatas mentored over 100 commercial brokers. In the recession of 2009, Liakatas formed Landmark Partners Commercial Real Estate, where he built an ELITE team of brokers with not only the vast experience, but who echoed his relational approach to achieving exemplary representation. When Leo decided to relocate from Illinois in 2020, he had every intention on expanding his firm into the Arizona Market. However, after being given the opportunity to spearhead the expansion into Arizona of Coldwell Banker Commercial, a global company he had greatly respected throughout his career, Liakatas proudly accepted and became the Director of Commercial Real Estate for the state of Arizona.
