Ernie has been involved in the real estate industry since 1996. He began purchasing real estate for his own account while building custom handmade furniture for high-end clients. In 2001 he moved into commercial real estate sales and leasing. He is CCIM designate as well as a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is one of the top producing commercial brokers in Columbus. He is a principal of Coldwell Banker Commercial KPDD and is a multiple recipient of the Commercial Circle of Excellence Award and is licensed in Georgia and Alabama. He has extensive experience in transactions ranging from redevelopment site assemblage, adaptive reuse projects, apartments, industrial as well as office and commercial assets. He has also specialized in recreational and timber tracts and has completed numerous transactions I from 50 – 1000+ acres. He has assisted several landowners with conservation easement negotiations with The Nature Conservancy in conjunction with Ft. Benning's ACUB (Army Compatible Use Buffer) program. Ernie earned his Bachelor's Degree in Economics from The University of Georgia in 1996. He received his Real Estate License in 2001, his CCIM designation in 2002 and his Associates Brokers license in 2007. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Columbus and is a graduate of Leadership Columbus and the St. Francis Hospital Fellows Program. He is on the boards of The Hospital Authority of Columbus, Uptown Columbus and the Downtown Development Authority. Among those companies he has completed transactions with are: Walgreens, The Nature Conservancy, Veterans Affairs, Columbus Bank Trust Company, Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Swift Textiles, American Natural Resources, Titlemax, Jos A Banks, Automated Doorways, Subway, Mead Westvaco, St Francis Hospital, Flournoy Development and many more.
