COLDWELL BANKER COMMERCIAL REALTY REPRESENTS IFPTE LOCAL 21 IN PURCHASE OF NEW SAN FRANCISCO HEADQUARTERS
SAN FRANCISCO (Oct. 7, 2022) – Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty is pleased to announce that it facilitated the sale of 1155 Mission St., a three-story, boutique office building encompassing approximately 15,700 square feet that is centrally located in San Francisco’s “South of Market” warehouse district. The sale price was $9.5 million.
Rich Lewetzow of Coldwell Banker Commercial Realty in San Francisco represented the buyer, IFPTE Local 21, which represents public sector professional and technical workers in the San Francisco Bay Area. The union will be utilizing 1155 Mission St. as its new San Francisco headquarters. The seller was a private investor.
“We celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2022, so it is only appropriate that we found our new home this year,” said Gus Vallejo, president of IFPTE Local 21. “Our requirements for our new headquarters building were that it be centrally located, near public transit and move-in ready. 1155 Mission Street met those requirements and had the added bonus of recent upgrades. The building is well laid out with an open and inviting character that will serve us well for the next 50 years.”
Originally constructed in 1914, the classic brick and timber building was given a full, state-of-the-art renovation in 2016. The office space is move-in ready, offering meeting rooms, kitchenettes, restrooms and showers throughout all three floors.
“IFPTE Local 21 is a San Francisco institution, and it was an honor to help them establish their new headquarters in a building that blends the city’s architectural pedigree with the latest office space innovations,” said Lewetzow.
