Coldwell Banker Commercial Danforth Represents Tacoma Public Schools in Purchase of $12.094M Kitchen and Facilities Complex
TACOMA, WASH. (March 10, 2026) – Coldwell Banker Commercial Danforth is proud to announce it represented Tacoma Public Schools (TPS) in the $12,094,000 purchase of an 86,000 square-foot, two-building industrial property in Tacoma.
Vladimir Olyanich and Bob Fredrickson of Coldwell Banker Commercial Danforth managed the transaction for TPS, their long-term client. Located at 4401 S Orchard St., the 6.11-acre industrial property was formerly owned by Broadstone Cable, LLC.
“This strategic acquisition supports the district’s broader construction and operational plans,” said Olyanich.
According to Olyanich, the southern portion of the property will be redeveloped into a centralized kitchen, enabling the district to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for students across Tacoma. The northern buildings will consolidate key facilities functions, including maintenance and automotive operations, creating greater efficiency and improved service delivery.
“This investment represents a meaningful win for the community, enhancing student nutrition, strengthening district operations, and supporting TPS’s long term vision for growth and modernization,” said Fredrickson.
