EDUCATION AND AFFILIATIONS
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, George is a vital member of his community and country, having served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Yancey from 1963-1965. He has been an active member of several community organizations, including United Way of Greenville County, Boy Scouts of America, The Greater Greenville Chamber of Commerce, the City of Greenville Revitalization Task Force, the City of Greer Land Use Committee and the Conestee Foundation. He has served as the President of the Board of Directors of Gateway House, Past President of the Greenville Board of Realtors, and Past Chairman of the City of Greenville Planning and Zoning Commission. George has been recognized as a Greenville Board of Realtors’ Realtor of the Year and was one of the first brokers in the state to earn the prestigious Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.
