Nick Di Cosola has been active in the High Desert Real Estate Community for the past 20 years. Prior to that he had a very successful career in the computer industry and work experience with Papermate Pen Company Home Pool and Equipment Inc and Sage’s Market in San Bernardino as a system analysis and data processing manager. He was a problem solver designing computer programs and systems and implementing the solutions using various computer languages. Nick was a sales consultant with Data General Corporation marketing main frame and super mini-computers for accounting and manufacturing applications. He was also involved in the sale and distribution of software throughout the United States for various companies including Global Software and Computer Associates. This required a broad knowledge of corporate functions and processes and the ability to quickly analyze a customer’s operation to determine the firm’s software requirements. Nick provided hospitals with cost control software legal firms with time reporting and management accounting systems manufacturing firms with production and inventory control systems as well as human resources sales processing and accounting software. Nick entered real estate in 1984 by originating residential loans for Director’s Mortgage and soon began selling both homes and land. Since 2001 Nick has specialized in commercial real estate and has been responsible for many major retailers opening new locations in the Victor Valley. Nick negotiated leases and land sales with Chevron Kenny Rogers Roasters Blockbuster Video and Kragen Auto Parts the first Walgreens in the High Desert Pancho Villa's and Freddy's Steakburgers. His relationships with national and regional retailers have enabled Mr. Di Cosola to achieve a high level of pre-leasing on developments for which he is the leasing agent. His corporate experience enables him to be more than a real estate agent. He was involved with the City of Hesperia to obtain approval to demolish an existing shopping center and make way for the Walgreen’s that is on the corner of Bear Valley Road and Hesperia Road. He also worked with the Town of Apple Valley to obtain the approvals required to build the Walgreen’s on Highway 18. To make the Starbucks deal in Barstow Nick assisted the developer to get the project through the City of Barstow’s Planning Commission. On Jess Ranch Market Place which is a 75 acre retail power center in the Town of Apple Valley that includes Target Nick conceived the marketing strategy and worked with the landowner and the city to package the project for more development.
