A Michigan native, Deborah is originally from the Flint area where she graduated from Grand Blanc High School. She attended Ferris State University and the University of Michigan-Flint. She spent the first Twenty-Seven years of her career in Association Management in the Travel Industry and has lived in the Grand Traverse area since 1984.
Deborah has served on the Board of Directors of the Fint-Genesee Corporation for Economic Growth, Michigan Society of Association Executives, Destination Marketing Association International and the Michigan Travel Commission having been appointed by Governors' Milliken, Blanchard and Engler.
Deborah has been a panelist on corporate branding at a meeting of th New York Conference Board and at the 2000 Global Branding conference sponsored by Landor Associates.
She served the Boards' of Trustees of Empire Bank Corporation and Empire National Bank from 1994-2000. and on the Northern Michigan Community Board of Huntington Bank from 2001-2005.
Local community involvement includes past membership in Traverse City Rotary Club, and service on the Board of Directors of the Traverse City Arts council, Land Information Access Association.
